Sometimes you just have to make your own path to enjoy the glories of the outdoors. Sometimes I just like to go up into a canyon, strap on some snow boots and just head out. There is something so surreal about going on a hike when you feel like no one has ever been in the canyon because there is no tracks to show otherwise.
I have never gone really hard cover and spend the night one of these hikes but a co-worker was just telling me how epic it is to build yourself a snow cave and go all man vs. wild on your hike. Though I am willing to try, I haven't done this yet, but I feel I am up to the challenge.
